Started in 2001, Heart4God is Columbiana UMC’s version of a contemporary service that meets at 9am on Sunday Mornings in the Multi-Purpose Room. Before the service we offer refreshments which provides a great opportunity to meet new people or catch up with old friends. This service has a more modern and contemporary feel and includes multi-media elements, along with music led by our praise team. You can expect the service to start with a few contemporary songs before the offering and the sermon. Following the sermon, on the first Sunday of the month, we have communion. We have an open table, so all are welcome to participate whether this is your first time at church or you’ve been a long-standing member of the Methodist church.

What To Expect

What do I wear?

Heart4God is a casual, contemporary service and we encourage you to come in what makes you most comfortable. We know that having a vague description can make it hard to feel comfortable when attending for the first time, so we are happy to provide a more detailed description. Our average attire for this service is sundresses for women and jeans or khakis with a nice shirt for men, but we have people that wear more casual clothes and some that dress up more.

where do I park?

We have lots of parking surrounding the church, but most of our congregation parks in the main parking lot when attending the Heart4God service.

is there childcare?

While we welcome children of all ages to worship in the main service, we know that having an opportunity for children to worship with each other is important. Students in kindergarten through fifth grade are released following the children’s moment to go to children’s church. They will be greeted at the door by the Children’s Director and volunteers and led to the right places. Additionally, the nursery is available throughout Sunday mornings during both services and Sunday School.
