As believers we are encouraged to share with others the difference Christ has made in our lives. Often this is accomplished by our behavior in everyday situations of life and through casual conversations as we live out the gospel message with others. In addition to our various missions, we also share our support to the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) through our tithes and offerings. This mission provides humanitarian relief and disaster response to those in need. Our tithes and offerings also provide support to the United Methodist Children’s Home.

Fellowship Traditions

Easter Sunday – Flowering of the Cross

A favorite church tradition, our community meets on the front lawn of the church prior to worship every Easter Sunday morning. Families bring fresh-cut flowers to adorn the cross to celebrate our Risen Savior!

Fall Tailgate Party

One Sunday in the fall, our tailgate party offers fun, food, and games for the community. Everyone dresses in their favorite team colors and the various Sunday School Classes or groups in our church set up booths that provide tailgate food and games, including musical chairs, cornhole, and a cake walk.

Trunk or Treat

Prior to Halloween, we have vehicles decorated for Halloween and hand out candy to our Wednesday night KIMCO children and any others in the community.

Family Festival of Advent

Another church tradition that has recently moved into the community, Family Festival of Advent is a time of games, crafts, and fellowship. This event is hosted each December in the amphitheater of Old Mill Square.

Hanging of the Greens

In December, after we have decorated the church, we get together one Sunday evening to celebrate the season of Christmas with musical performances and a time of reflection on the birth of Christ.
